We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Workshop Leading Hand to join our Nebo team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Diesel Fitter with proven supervisory experience to lead our workshop operations and drive efficiency and quality. About the Role As the Workshop Leading Hand, you will play a key role in supervising day-to-day activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to the highest standard. Your responsibilities will include: Leading and supporting a team of workshop technicians Coordinating workflow and job allocation Performing diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on heavy earthmoving equipment Ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures Assisting with training and mentoring of team members The successful candidate will have the following: Heavy Diesel or Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate (essential) Strong commitment to safe work practices and the ability to lead by example Proven experience in leading a proactive, safety-focused, and dedicated maintenance team Experience with CAT diagnostic systems or similar platforms Ability to assist in diagnosing faults and providing timely technical support for repairs Competence in maintaining accurate service and maintenance records using both paper-based and electronic systems A positive, “can-do” attitude with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment Excellent time management skills and a strong commitment to quality control Valid manual drivers licence Supervisor training The successful candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and drug & alcohol screening.
